Ten Cartoon Characters You Did Not Know Were Actually Real

Aladdin: Disney went back and forth on who to base their character Aladdin was. Aniamtors had to to choose between  Michael J.Fox and Tom Cruise, before ecentually settling on the later because of his sex appeal. From the big eyebrows, cocky attitude, and handsome looks, there are striking similarities between the street rat and the actor.
Edna Mode: The lady who designed the super hero suits in "The Incredibles" named Edna Mode was based on real lige costume designer edith head. Edith earned herself thirty five Oscar Nominations and designed costumes for many of alfred hitchcock's films. If you compared the appreacne of the two, the resemblance is uncanny, right down to the black frame glasses.
Ursula: If you have ever looked at Ursula and thought she looked rather manly, you are on the ball. Urlsula was based on famed drag queen divine, who was famous for her appearances in different John Waters movies. Sadly, divine never got to see Ursula on the big screen, as she died in 1988.
Popye: The character of Popye was created by E.C Segar, who was known to base some of his best known characters on people he actually knew. Popye was actually based on a real man segar knew, and his name was frank "Rocky" Fiegel, who acted exactly the famous cartoon character. Fiegel was also known for beating butts and taking names. Fiegel's headstone even notes that he was the inpiration for Popye.

Pocahontas: Irene Bedard is the native american beauty, who not only gave Disney’s pocahontas her voice, but she was also the direct inspiration for animations. If you compare the cartoon character and bedard, the resemblance is uncanny, and pocahontas’ mannerisms and movement reflect nedard’s.
Harley Quinn: The Joker’s sidekick Harley Quinn was introduced during the animated series of Batman. Arleen Sorkin’s Clown scene of “Days of Our Lives”. Inspired batman writer Paul Dini into creating  Harley Quinn. Ironically, sorkin would later give her voice the sexy villain.
Belle: Belle’s facial expressions and mannerisms were based on animation writer and producer Sherri Stoner. She even had short term jobs on shows like Tiny Toon adventures an Animaniacs. During her time at Disney, Stoner was a regular source of inspiration for animators.
Ariel: The two people inspired the Disney Princess. Alyssa Milano was the main inspiration for the famous mermaid, and the two share the same expressive eyes and personality along with a slim petite frame. The fiery red hair was inspired from the astronaut Sally Ride.
Betty Boop: Betty Boop made her first appearance in 1930 in the cartoon Dizzy Dishes. She was based on the starlet, Helen Kane. The resemblance is uncanny, and Kane and Boop looked and sounded exactly alike. Kane even had the same “Boop Boop A Boop!” catchphrase. Sadly, Kane was not flattered and sued paramount pictures and the cartoon creator, Max Fleischer, in 1932.
Snow White and Blue Fairy: Disney’s Snow White and Blue Fairy were both based on the iconic film actress of the 1930’s and 1940’s Marge Champion. The actress modeled for Disney animators, while the films were in development, and even wore a football helmet when designers decided to have snow white have a larger head.
